Developmentally Delayed Preschool (DD)

D.D.Preschool/D.D. Kindergarten services are offered for children between the ages of 3 to 5. Public law 99457 outlines eligibility based on the category "Developmentally Delayed." This is the special education category up to age 8. Children with mild to multiple disabilities are served in these settings. Additional resources such as occupational, physical and speech therapies are provided as needed. At age 8, a psycoeductional evaluation is conducted and a specific categorical will be identified such as learning disabilities, orthopedically impaired, mental retardation, autism, or other health impaired.
