Certified

Salina Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and student-centered Secondary Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential while fostering meaningful relationships and high academic expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations.

  • Utilize research-based instructional strategies and accommodations to support student success.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate with appropriate Special Education certification (or eligibility to obtain certification).

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and best practices.

  • Commitment to meeting the individual needs of all learners.

Non-Certified

Salina Public Schools is seeking 1 custodian for the 2026-2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, operating scrubber machines, cleaning/restocking restrooms, cleaning and maintaining classrooms, and cleaning windows.
  • Facility Upkeep: Operating floor buffers and scrubbers.
  • Safety and Security: Locking/unlocking doors, reporting safety hazards, and maintaining overall security.
  • Grounds: Removing trash, snow/ice removal from walkways, and basic exterior cleaning.
  • Supply Management: Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting shortages.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Physical Strength: Ability to stand/walk for long hours, bend, climb ladders, and lift heavy items (often 50+ pounds).
  • Skills: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety protocols, and basic hand tools.
  • Experience: Previous cleaning experience is often preferred, but on-the-job training is common.
