I have always had a love for children and a passion for teaching!! I started my educational career at Salina High School in 1995, teaching all Math courses from Pre-Algebra up though Calculus.  I also taught the Computer Science courses.  During the 19 years I was at Salina High School, I was also the Technology Director, taught Broadcasting, Newpaper, and Yearbook.   I left in 2014 after receiving my Masters in Educational Leadership.  I went on a new venture to become an Administrator at Chouteau Public Schools.  I was at Chouteau for 4 years, then I was the Mazie Elementary Principal for 2 years.  While I enjoyed my job at Chouteau-Mazie, and made many life long friends, I was happy to get to come back home in 2020 when offered the Elementary Principal job.  I was at Salina Elementary for 2 years, before moving over to my current job as the Middle School Principal.  I am very happy in this new position and hope to lead the school in becoming the top school in the state!  We are small, but Mighty!!  Blessed to be a Salina Wildcat!!

I was a Master Technology Trainer for the State of Oklahoma for many years, where I traveled all over Oklahoma training teachers on how to use technology.  Was a Digital Storyteller Trainer for the Oklahoma Historical Society for many years as well, where I trained many teachers on how to teach their students to create digital stories and share them. 

Past Achievements:

I was awarded OTA teacher of the year, as well as Salina Public Schools Teacher of the year, and Masonic Teacher of the year, and voted “Most Spirited” by the athletic booster club.

I am very blessed with a wonderful, hard-working husband named Willie.  Equally blessed with a dedicated and driven son named Jake, who is married to my sweet daughter in law Holli.  They have two children who call me Gigi.  They are the light of my life!!  

I have many hobbies, almost all include water!  I love to hang out at the lake with my family.  Love to camp and enjoy nature at the beautiful sites around the country.  We love to go to Cozumel and scuba dive (and take in all the beauty there)!!  I like to sew, cook, and just enjoy life!!
